Uzbek pianist Tamila Salimdjanova attracted attention by winning 1st Prize and Audience Award at the highly prestigious BNDES International Piano Competition in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 and Massarosa International Piano Competition a year later. Since that time she has been invited to perform with Orquestra Experimental de Repertório, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica da Bahia, Philarmonic Orchestra of Morocco in venues including Sala Sao Paulo and Theatre Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Castro Alves in Salvador.
